I’m not sure I feel comfortable having a dog trainer come to my house. Can we train in a different location?
I do all private in-home training which means I come out to your home to train your dog. I am based out of Orlando and am willing to travel up to 45 minutes outside of Orlando. If you live more than 45 minutes away, I may charge extra for travel.
Not at all! I work with all breeds and all sizes. Regardless of the behavioral problem.
Never!!! Any dog behavior CAN be changed. It may take us a lot of time, patience, and hard work, but that is why I am commitment based as opposed to session/lesson based. I work with clients until they are completely satisfied with the end result.
As early as possible. I offer an in-home puppy training program for puppies 16 weeks and younger.
No. Board and train options have become more popular in recent years, especially since The Dog Whisperer aired. Board and train options can seem like an easy fix, but dog training is about building a relationship with your dog through understanding dog behavior, communication, and proper handling. Why waste money on creating a dog who is obedient to a trainer when you can teach your dog to listen to YOU, the owner.
Don’t worry. I’m a professional. I certainly won’t judge you on the cleanliness of your home or chastise you for trying ineffective training techniques. My only goal is to help you improve your relationship with your dog, not to invade your personal space.
I do, on rare occasion, teach group classes called the Practical Pet Protocol. These are group classes for dogs over 6 months of age and without any behavioral problems such a leash pulling, anxiety, aggression, ect.
I do not train either. My goal is to mold household pets into loveable, obedient members of the household. I want my clients to feel safe around their dogs, which is why I do not train attack dogs. They can be very dangerous when an advanced knowledge of dog behavior is not clearly understood by all members of the house. Service or therapy dogs must undergo a very detailed, lengthy training process for certification. I do not offer certification through my training alone, however, I do offer advanced obedience training which is a requirement of most certification programs.
No, they don’t. Canine Trade Group is a national network of highly skilled dog trainers, all committed to the same level of professionalism. It’s helpful knowing we all use the same proven techniques and are all trying to help people in the same way. However, Canine Trade Group is simply a network that allows me to stay grounded, informed, and open to new ideas within the dog training community.
I am the sole owner and operator of Sunbelt Dog Training.
